5 Small Business Marketing Strategies that Work
Unfortunately, there is no easy process to follow for you to transform your business into an overnight success. It is not like a recipe where if you follow the steps the exact way, you will turn out with a perfect creation. That said, there are many ways to get on the right path. We are going to share with you five small business marketing strategies that really work!
1) Google My Business
Google is so popular that we use it as a synonym to search for anything on the Internet. Google also offers free business listings. Just by listing your business, you can pop up ahead of normal SEO results and best of all, it combines all of Google’s tools into one places including your reviews, your Google+ profile, and analytics all without having to spend a single cent.
If you combine this with paid Google AdWords then you can really see you a huge jump in your company’s website and other traffic.
2) Content Marketing
More companies than ever are using this as a strategy. Essentially, the idea is that the more time someone spends on your website, the more likely they are to use the service or buy a good that it provides.
Content marketing also works but subtly suggesting things instead of in your face style advertisements. For example, an article about the top places to hike in California might recommend a certain brand of shoes to wear that are water resistant. Those could be your company’s shoes!
3) Real Social Media
These days, basically every company is tied to social media. However, there is a difference between trying to get more customers and organic social media. This is when people follow your company because it has interesting posts. It may take time to build up a large following, but once you do, you will have a huge audience who are not only likely to use your product or services but also share your company across their social media thus furthering your visibility.
These are particularly important if you are introducing a new type of product or service. Webinars are online seminars that give you an extended opportunity to talk about your business. They are really effective when they are done live and can be followed by a question and answer session where the audience feels like they can participate. They do require something of a built-in audience, but if you combine with some solid Facebook promoting, they can be a good way to get your name out there.
5) Reward Your Staff
The people you need to motivate more than anyone else is your staff. They are your brand ambassadors so do what you can to make them feel inspired by their work. Give them rewards for recommending a friend to purchase something. Likewise, hold training sessions. The biggest mistake new companies make is not explaining “why.” You need to explain why your product or service is valuable and why each particular staff member is an essential part of the team.
